We believe in the importance of giving back to the community we are a part of, so in 2017, we began our Community Buds efforts. Our first initiative was to begin personally volunteering for local shelters and organizations. Every week, members of the buds team take an hour of their time to volunteer with the adoptable cats from City of Elderly Love. Time is spent ensuring that the cats have a freshly cleaned environment and lots of TLC while they patiently wait for their new home.
Our second initiative was to give the community an opportunity to join us in giving back to the numerous animal organizations in our area, while enjoying the opportunity to socialize their pups. The solution: Walking Buds! For those without pups of their own, many of the organizations we partner with bring amazing adoptable dogs out to enjoy the walk with community volunteers. Our monthly walk is not only fun and educational, but has raised over $6000 in its first year, with 100% of the event proceeds going to the organizations listed below.
Walking Buds dates and times are posted in advance on our Facebook page. Follow us and get event notifications – we would love for you to join us and help support these amazing organizations.
